iPhone 6: Apple A8 64-bit dual-core 1.4GHz, PowerVR GX6450 GPU, 1GB RAM
The iPhone 6 capabilities Apple’s punchy A8 CPU, a twin-core 64-bit chip with a severely fast GPU connected and backed by 1GB of RAM. That is a exceptional technique to that taken by Android chip makers, who generally go for a quad-core GPU and at the least 2GB of RAM.
For the S6 Samsung opted towards using the Snapdragon 810 processor found within the LG Flex 2 and HTC One M9 in favour for its custom chip. The sixty four-bit Exynos 7420 chip offers a very comparable octa-core set-up to the aforementioned Snapdragon 810 and provides a slick, typical overall performance.
Some place else, the Samsung Galaxy S6 features 3GB of RAM - that’s three times the amount located within the iPhone 6. Greater important here, but, is the velocity of that RAM. The Galaxy S6 is the first smartphone to function DDR4 reminiscence, that's 80 percent faster than the iPhone 6's DDR3.
When you evaluate the Geekbench three multi-center benchmark exams, the S6 comes out on pinnacle but numbers most effective tells half of the story. In every day performance both are extraordinarily brief and slick and our common lawsuits of TouchWiz slowing matters down is not apparent at the more streamlined version Samsung has followed for the S6.

Samsung Galaxy S6: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, no micro SD card support
iPhone 6: 16GB, 64GB, 128GB, no micro SD card support
Samsung has brought on a chunk of a stir with the aid of dropping micro SD guide with the Galaxy S6 - the first of its flagship range to accomplish that. It is simply emulating Apple's technique right here, that is all approximately providing a more streamlined and rapid technique to garage.
Samsung nevertheless wins this spherical no matter that omission, virtually with the aid of virtue of the fact that it has dropped the 16GB allotment and adopted 32GB as its starter specification, whilst Apple has performed the other.
If you compare SIM-unfastened costs, the 32GB S6 prices around the £550 mark, whilst the 16GB iPhone 6 is priced in at round £540. If you for go for the top 128GB fashions, the S6 will value you kind of £730 in assessment to the iPhone 6, which is round £680. iPhone 6: iOS 8.4
Android or iOS? That is the big question you want to ask your self whilst determining between the S6 and the iPhone 6. This could shape how you operate the telephone on a each day foundation.
Historically, Apple's cellular working machine has been the only to go with in case you cost a cellphone with the smallest learning curve and slick revel in. You could pick up an iPhone and it won't take you very long to work out what's what. Android gives you the more customisation however with Lollipop, you also get a greater polished navigation revel in as nicely.
Samsung of path would not use inventory Android like a Moto G or a Nexus 5. Rather it has its personal TouchWiz user interface layered on top. It's an technique it is drawn vast grievance for its heavy-surpassed additions, pointless apps, and needless tinkering with its solid Android underpinnings. Samsung has improved topics with the Galaxy S6, scaling returned the bloatware and it's a far higher telephone to apply as a result. Center Android Lollipop functions now shine thru and it's normally a much purifier UI to navigate.
With the present day model of iOS, Apple has introduced a few large capabilities, a few which have been found in Android for some time. You presently have greater actionable notifications, widgets within the Notification Tray and 0.33 celebration. Whilst it can not healthy Android for customisation, it nonetheless provides in which it topics. It's slick, easy to apply, and has the better high-quality app shop. The modern iOS eight.Four update also introduced Apple music, the company's first song streaming provider.
Samsung has truely made huge upgrades with its software technique however we'd say Apple wins this spherical.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy S6: 16-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, single LED flash, optical image stabilisation
iPhone 6: 8 megapixel, phase detection, dual LED 'True Tone' flash
Having a terrific cellphone digicam manner a first rate deal for maximum whilst buying a cellphone and fortunately both Samsung and Apple do a wonderful process with their cameras. They each take terrific photographs and are smooth to choose up and begin taking pictures.
The S5 had one in every of our favourite cameras final year but there has been without a doubt room for improvement. Samsung has taken barely tweaked the setup used for the notice 4 and dropped it into the S6. As a result you can still take sharp, colourful photographs quick after which get them shared on Twitter and fb in no time. HDR is still a standout characteristic here as nicely, even as the addition of optical picture stabilisation method you get a assisting hand in low-mild conditions. Even as it does not completely remove the picture noise, you may seize clearer, extra worthwhile consequences.
On paper, some will evaluate Apple's 8-megapixels to Samsung's sixteen-megapixels, but in truth that does not provide you with a true perception into the iPhone 6's performance. Apple makes the very pleasant of its setup and you could nonetheless get brilliant, natural images with a number of the identical characteristics you would partner with the S6. It does lose out to the S6 for low-mild capturing, unluckily as it lacks the optical photograph stabilisation the iPhone 6 Plus did get.
On the whole, those are notable cameras. If taking images in extra difficult lighting situations is some thing you value extra, the S6 is for you. For a aggregate of simplicity and photo great, the iPhone 6 is the one to move for. Either manner, those are two smartphone cameras that won't allow you to down.
The S6 additionally has the higher the front-dealing with camera, if you're into selfies.

It had the bigger battery and the benchmark checks proved it had the functionality of going a lot longer than Apple's telephone. That being said, the iPhone 6 has made huge enhancements way to a greater efficient setup.
Residing day-to-day with them, the S6's stamina ranges are nowhere near as good because the S5, however as compared to the iPhone 6 it just about beats it. There's now not tons in it even though. You can get a ordinary working day (8am to 6-7pm) out of them each however it is going to be a tough push keeping either alive in case you stayed out for the night time. Samsung does provide a completely useful strength saving mode that restricts the battery draining functions but will nevertheless assist you to make calls and may push things a little further.

It is right down to Samsung's speedy charging technology, which fits in a comparable fashion to Qualcomm's brief rate 2.0 generation located on the LG G Flex 2. It takes an hour and twenty minutes to head from 0%-100 at the same time as the iPhone takes round 3 to three.Five hours. There may be a workaround to getting that down to 2 hours if you use a 2.1-amp charging cable that comes bundled with Apple's iPad.
Samsung additionally gives wi-fi charging, some thing Apple has yet to embody for its phone range.
